Yoga

I believe Every Body can practice yoga and have fun doing it.

Yoga can contribute to a greater sense of calm, uniting one with a deeper sense of self, increase strength and flexibility, decrease stress levels and help you sleep better, a small list among its many positive attributes.

  Yoga for climbing information

My yoga practice began with Ashtanga Yoga as taught by Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois. This is a dynamic, meditative practice that coordinates breath and movement to generate a purifying internal heat

I studied with Manju Jois completing an intensive teacher training where I was taught traditional Ashtanga Yoga including Sanskrit counting, pranayama, meditation and Vedic peace chants. I continue to study with Manju Jois as often as possible. I had the amazing fortune to attend a weeklong workshop with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.

In addition to a daily (mostly) self practice, I am currently taking classes in Anusara, AcroYoga, vinyasa flow, bikram and yin yoga.

As we share our practice together we share peace for ourselves on the mat and peace for one another in the room, and thus radiating our peace outside the studio off the mat. Keep Practicing and Enjoy.

Teachers include Manju Jois, Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Jean Nelson, Sri Louise, Sarah Joy Marsh, Jason Nemer and Jenny Sauer-Klein, Carolyn Cohen and Simmin Joy Holland.
